Jamshedpur, Nov 23:  The Ghatshila seat is heading for a close contest.

The contest is between BJP’s Babulal Soren, (son of Champai Soren) and JMM’s Ramdas Soren, who was a minister in Hemant Soren’s cabinet.

Initially, Ramdas Soren had taken a huge lead, but after the fourth round of counting, Babulal Soren came very close.

There is a difference of around 1500 votes between Babulal and Ramdas. In the sixth round, Babulal went ahead by around 2000 votes.

Even after the seventh round, he maintained a lead of around 1000, but in the eighth round, he lagged behind Ramdas Soren.

In the seventh round, Ramdas took a lead of around 3000 votes.

  9. Panchanan Soren, Independent- 156
  10. Bikram Kisku, Independent- 202
  11. Ramdev Hembram, Independent – ​​258
