Ranchi, Dec 6: Sahibganj SP Naushad Alam, called for questioning by the ED today, did not reach the agency’s office today. However, Alam has written a letter to the ED seeking some time to appear before it.
Naushad Alam is to be interrogated for influencing a key ED witness, Bijay Hansda, in the 1000-crore mining scam in Sahibganj.

According to the information, Alam informed the ED officials through a letter that he was not able to be present on Wednesday. The reason for not appearing before the ED is also written in the letter. He has asked for another date for questioning by the ED officials.
ED interrogated Alam on Nov 28 for 12 hours
Notably, the ED had interrogated SP Naushad Alam for 12 hours on November 22. However, the agency officers were not satisfied with most of the answers of the Sahibganj SP. After which the ED again sent summons to him and called him for questioning on December 6. He has been asked to come prepared with a list of properties owned by him and his family members.
