Jharkhand: Senior officials assess facility at Dhanbad Chhath Ghats

Dhanbad, Nov 18: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Barun Ranjan, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjiv Kumar and Town Commissioner Ravi Raj Sharma inspected important Chhath Ghats of the coal city and directed the concerned officials to ensure all facilities on time.

This was the first time three senior officials of the district, DC, SSP  and Town Commissioner, assessed the facilities at Chhath Ghats together. They visited Rajendra Sarovar, Bekarbandh,  Raja Talab Jharia, Ranibandh Dhaiyya, Chhath Talab Barmasia, Pampu Talab, Raja Talab Sahyoginagar and directed to provide all amenities devotees need during Puja.

DC Barun Ranjan, on the occasion, asked to ensure proper light facilities on Chhat Ghats, availability of safety squad and their life jackets, NDRF team, medical team and entry-exit gates.

Besides barricading the pond for the safety of  Chhath Vrati, the Deputy Commissioner also directed the concerned officials to install CCTV cameras and trace parking facilities near the Ghat.

The new Town Commissioner Ravi Raj Sharma directed the Municipal Corporation officials and staff to leave no stone unturned in making sanitation conditions up to the mark in the city during the festival of ‘Faith’, of the people.
