New Delhi/Ranchi, July 9: Jharkhand has secured proposed investments worth ₹99,639 crore through the signing of 14 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during the valedictory session of the National Stakeholders’ Consultation. The agreements are expected to strengthen the state’s industrial ecosystem, digital infrastructure and tourism sector, reinforcing Jharkhand’s position as an emerging investment destination.
The Department of Industries signed landmark investment agreements with leading companies, including Jindal Steel Ltd., which committed ₹40,000 crore, and Jindal Nuclear Power Pvt. Ltd., with a proposed investment of ₹30,000 crore. The agreements reflect growing investor confidence in Jharkhand’s industrial growth and long-term development potential.
Digital Transformation and e-Governance
To enhance the state’s digital ecosystem, Jharkhand entered into strategic partnerships with Google Cloud and the Wadhwani Group. The collaborations will focus on expanding technology infrastructure and strengthening e-Governance initiatives to improve public service delivery and digital capabilities across the state.

Tourism Promotion Gets a Boost
The tourism sector also received a significant push through new partnerships with Tata Motors and EaseMyTrip Planners. Tata Motors will collaborate with the state to promote Mining Tourism, while EaseMyTrip will support tourism promotion and visitor outreach, helping showcase Jharkhand’s tourism potential to a wider audience.
Government Reaffirms Development Commitment
The MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, highlighting the state government’s commitment to attracting investment, promoting innovation and advancing sustainable economic growth.
Also present at the ceremony were Minister Deepika Pandey, Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Minister Sudivya Kumar and Minister Irfan Ansari. Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar and Development Commissioner Ajay Kumar Singh also attended the event.
The agreements were signed by IT Secretary Pooja Singhal, Industries Secretary Arava Rajkamal, Tourism Secretary Mukesh Kumar, and representatives of the respective companies.
