Dhanbad, Oct 18: The girls’ yoga team from Dhanbad Public School (DPS) departed on Thursday evening for the CBSE National Championship, set to take place at Dhrub Global International School in Sangamner, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, from October 18 to 21.
DPS is the East Zone CBSE inter-school yoga champion, and the national championship features the winners and runners-up from each zone.
Manager and coach Shashikant Pandey expressed confidence in the squad’s preparation, stating that they expect strong results in the national competition.

Selected team members representing East Zone
Girls Under-14 Team Event: Ananya Agrawal, Adirija Paul, Rani Pandit, Ashika Chhetri, Anuska Kumari.
Girls Under-19 Team Event: Dipika, Shatakshi, Shrishthi Kumari, Titli Kole, Yashashwi Rani.
Individual Events: Ananya Agrawal, Adirija Paul, Rani Pandit, Ishika Chhetri (Under-14); Dipika, Shatakshi, Shrishthi Kumari, and Yashaswi Rani (Under-19).
Rhythmic Yoga Event: Dipika, Adirija Paul.
Artistic Yoga Event: Ananya Agrawal, Shatakshi.
The school’s managing committee, including Chairman Kailash Prasad Agrawal, Secretary Anil Agrawal, Principal Sharda Mahajan, Vice-Principal Souvik Chatterjee, Suparna Ghosh, and Pinki Singh, congratulated the players on their participation in the national championship and wished them success.
