Jamshedpur, May 20: The Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA) successfully wrapped up its 2nd Summer Camp 2025, marking 10 days of high-energy training, learning, and sportsmanship from May 11 to 20.

Over 190 young cadets from schools and colleges across Jamshedpur took part in the transformative experience.

The closing ceremony featured an address by Hemant Gupta, CEO of Hockey Ace Foundation and Head of Sports (Academies), Tata Steel.

Sharing his story of summiting Mount Everest in 2017, Gupta inspired cadets to stay committed and passionate about their ambitions, both on and off the field.

The camp focused not only on sharpening hockey fundamentals but also emphasized physical fitness, mental toughness, discipline, and team spirit—fostering well-rounded growth in each participant. Through structured assessments and interactive sessions, the program cultivated essential life skills in addition to athletic prowess.

Gurmeet Singh Rao, Project Director of NTHA, praised the cadets’ dedication, stating, “This camp was about more than just hockey—it was about building character, confidence, and a lifestyle rooted in health and discipline.”

Participation certificates were awarded by Gupta alongside NTHA’s coaching team.

Looking ahead, NTHA announced that regular training will resume every Wednesday and Saturday from May 26, between 3.30 PM and 5 PM. Registrations will open soon.

The camp concluded with a vote of thanks to all cadets, families, coaches, and volunteers, followed by a group photo.
