Jamshedpur, October 5: Jharkhand continued to experience largely dry weather on Monday, with temperatures remaining above normal at several places even as minimum temperatures stayed relatively comfortable.
The latest realised weather report issued by the Meteorological Centre, Ranchi, recorded no rainfall anywhere in the state during the past 24 hours.
Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 35.2°C, which was 2.7°C above normal, while the minimum settled at 23°C.
Chaibasa was warmer than normal by 4.2°C, recording a maximum temperature of 35.4°C. Daltonganj registered 35.4°C, 2.8°C above normal, while Bokaro recorded 33.1°C.
Jagannathpur in West Singhbhum recorded the state’s highest maximum temperature at 37°C. Seraikela was also warm at 35.8°C, while Pakur recorded 35.6°C.
Ranchi remained comparatively cooler, with the maximum temperature at 30.6°C and the minimum at 19.6°C.

Weather likely to turn unsettled
According to the latest forecast from the Meteorological Centre, Ranchi, weather conditions are likely to become more unsettled over the next few days.
Monday is expected to remain mainly dry, although isolated areas may experience light rain or a thunderstorm.
On Tuesday, partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are likely, with light rain or thundershowers possible at isolated places.
Thunderstorm activity likely to increase from Wednesday
Wednesday is expected to witness a further increase in thunderstorm activity. The IMD has issued a warning for thunderstorm, lightning and squall-type conditions over Jharkhand.
The broader weather trend suggests that temperatures will remain around the low 30s in many parts of the state, while increasing cloud cover and humidity may accompany the possibility of showers.
The weather is expected to remain a mix of warm conditions, passing clouds and isolated thunderstorms rather than a return to widespread monsoon rainfall.
The latest forecast indicates that the transition from predominantly dry post-monsoon conditions to occasional thundershowers could become more noticeable from October 6-7, particularly over parts of Jharkhand.
