Ranchi, March 25: BJP state president and leader of the opposition, Babulal Marandi, has raised serious concerns over the lack of transparency in Jharkhand’s government tender process.

He pointed out that a recent investigation by the Accountant General found tenders in multiple departments—including drinking water and sanitation, rural works development, home, prison, and disaster management—were submitted from the same IP address. This, he claimed, proves that contracts were pre-decided, reducing the entire process to a mere formality.

Rampant Violations, Poor-Quality Projects

Marandi alleged that rules are being openly flouted to benefit certain individuals close to those in power. He warned that such irregularities directly affect the quality of government projects—leading to collapsing water towers, roads falling apart within months, and widespread corruption. As a result, engineers, officers, and even ministers have landed behind bars.
Public Trust at Risk
According to Marandi, unchecked corruption is not only hindering Jharkhand’s development but also damaging its reputation. If strict action is not taken, he warned, the public will lose complete faith in the government. He called for immediate reforms, greater accountability, and an end to the misuse of public funds through a more transparent system.
