Dhanbad, Dec 20: A 15-member boys and girls Jharkhand state Thang-Ta squad departed for Guwahati today to participate in the 31st National Junior Thang-Ta Championship.
The championship will be held from December 22 to 24 at the Karmaveer Nabinchandra Bordoloi Indoor Stadium in Sarusajai, Guwahati, Assam.

Jharkhand State Thang-Ta Association (JSTA) president Ranjit Keshri informed that Sonamoti Kumari of Palamu district has been named captain of the team, while Ramswaroop Hembram of Ranchi will serve as the squad’s coach.

He added that the state teams were selected based on players’ performances in the recently held 10th Jharkhand State Thang-Ta Championship in Dhanbad.
Of the 15-member squad, eight players are from Dhanbad, four from Ranchi, and three from Palamu district.

The selected players are Sambhavi Daksh, Kaushiki Singh, Akanksha Raj, and Prisha Pandey (all from Ranchi); Sonamoti Kumari, Shami Kumari, and Rehan Qadri (all from Palamu); and Sanchita Mukherjee, Shreya Prasad Rajak, Kashish Kumari, Prince Raj, Saksham Kumar, Aman Kumar, Ravi Saw, and Janardan Gop (all from Dhanbad).
