Jharkhand train services to be affected due to rolling block in Adra division

Jamshedpur, Sept 8: Several passenger and express trains have been cancelled, rescheduled, short-terminated, or diverted owing to a rolling block in South Eastern Railway’s Adra division, imposed for essential maintenance work.

The move has caused widespread inconvenience to passengers.

According to an official notification issued by South Eastern Railway, the following changes have been made in train services:

68077/68078 Adra–Vishnupur–Adra MEMU Passenger on September 12 and 14.

68046/68045 Asansol–Adra–Asansol MEMU Passenger on September 12 and 14.

68056 Tatanagar–Asansol MEMU Passenger on September 9.

Short-Terminated and Short-Originating Trains

68055 Asansol–Tatanagar MEMU Passenger will be short-terminated at Adra. Service between Asansol–Adra stands cancelled till September 14.

13503/13504 Bhagalpur–Howrah–Bhagalpur MEMU Express to be short-terminated and originated from Gomoh (GMO). Service between GMO–Howrah to remain cancelled till September 14.

Rescheduled Trains

18184 Buxar–Tatanagar Express to depart Buxar 90 minutes late on September 12 and 14.

18036 Howrah–Kharagpur Express to depart Howrah 2 hours late on September 9.

Diverted Train 

18601 Tatanagar–Howrah Express diverted via Chandil (CNI)–Gidabir (GDBR)–Muri instead of its usual CNI–Purulia (PRR)–Kasai (KSX)–Muri route on September 9, 10 and 13.

Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the latest updates on the official website or enquire at nearby stations before travelling.

The Adra division block has been implemented to facilitate pending track maintenance work.

Passengers are requested to cooperate with the railway administration and bear with the temporary inconvenience.
