Continuing to move further northwestwards across Odisha, it is likely to maintain its intensity of deep depression and weaken gradually into a depression.

Thereafter, it is likely to move west-northwestwards across Chhattisgarh during subsequent 24 hours.

The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Bikaner, Sikar, Khajuraho, Bilaspur, Puri and to the centre of deep depression over northwest Bay of Bengal and thence southeastwards to east-central Bay of Bengal.

Statistics revealed that till Monday Jharkhand was facing a rain deficit of 15 per cent.
