Jharkhand Weather: IMD extends dense fog alert in northern parts

Jamshedpur, Nov 15: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre extended the alert of dense fog in northern Jharkhand for another 48 hours.

Apart from dense fog alert, the weather department also predicted a fall in minimum temperature.

Currently, the minimum temperature was hovering between 15- 17 degrees Celsius in most parts of Jharkhand.

Dry weather prevailed over the state. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 32°C was recorded at Daltonganj while the lowest minimum temperature of 14.6°C was recorded at Garhwa.

According to statistics, Garhwa and its adjoining areas recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the past 24 hours.

Capital Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of around 15.5 °C while Jamshedpur, Seraikela and Daltonganj recorded over 16 °C Celsius.

Weathermen ruled out the possibility of rain or any other adverse weather conditions in the next two to three days.

The forecast suggests bright and crisp weather conditions in most places with wind fluctuating between northerly and westerly directions.
