Jamshedpur, Feb 24: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of light rain in isolated areas of southern Jharkhand today.
Weathermen said a fresh western disturbance seen as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level runs roughly along Long. 65°E to the north of Lat. 32°N.
Tomorrow light rain with thunderstorms is likely to occur at isolated places over western, southern and adjoining central parts of the state.

According to the forecast, on Monday light to moderate rain with thunderstorm likely to occur at few places over western, southern and adjoining central parts of the state.
The forecast for Monday also issued an alert of hailstorms at isolated places over the western parts of the state.
The forecast further indicated light to moderate rain with thunderstorms at few places over the state.
A thunderstorm accompanied by gusty wind (speed 30-40 kmph) is also likely at one or two places over Jharkhand on February 27, Tuesday.
