Jamshedpur, Oct 7:  A low-pressure trough hovering over Jharkhand is likely to trigger thundershower activity in some places across Jharkhand today.

Cloud cover would prevail in several districts due to the impact of the low-pressure trough.

The trough was running from Jharkhand to Manipur across a cyclonic circulation over northern parts of Gangetic West Bengal and its neighbourhood at 0.9 Km above mean sea level.

The cyclonic circulation over northern parts of Gangetic West Bengal and neighbourhood was extending up to 3.1 Km above the mean sea level.

The maximum temperature would witness a fall in the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the line of withdrawal of the southwest monsoon continues to pass through 29°N/84°E, Nautanwa, Sultanpur, Panna, Narmadapuram, Khargaon, Nandurbar, Navsari and 20°N/70°E.

Monsoon activity was weak over the state in the past 24 hours, said weathermen adding that this would result in restricted rainfall activity.
