Jharkhand is in the grip of Sub-10 chill for the last couple of days due to the dominating north-westerly winds.

The snowfalls in the Himalayan region and in Jammu Kashmir have intensified the chill in Jharkhand and its neighbouring states for the last few days.

Westerly to North-Westerly winds prevailed over the state during the past 24 hours.

The cyclonic circulation over southern Bangladesh and the neighbourhood was extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.

Dry weather prevailed over the state while a cold wave with moderate fog was witnessed at isolated places over the western parts of the state.

IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre this morning issued an alert of moderate to dense fog in isolated parts of the state during the next two days.
