Jamshedpur, July 8: Light to moderate rain will be experienced in several districts today, said a bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
Weathermen ruled out the possibility of heavy rain in any district today.
The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Bikaner, Sikar, Gwalior, Sidhi, Daltonganj, Contai and thence southeastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal and extends up to 0.9 km above mean sea level.
The cyclonic circulation over southwest Uttar Pradesh and its neighbourhood was lying over northeast Rajasthan extending up to 4.5 km above mean sea level.

Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms was observed at a few places over the state during the past 24 hours; while heavy rainfall was also recorded at isolated places of the state.
Monsoon activity was weak over the state.
The highest rainfall of 112.0 mm was recorded at Kushiyari (Dumka) in the past 48 hours.
Statistics revealed that Jharkhand as a whole was so far facing a rain deficit of 49%.
Against a normal of 255 mm, the state has so far received 129 mm of rain, this resulting in such a huge deficit.
