Jamshedpur, June 22: Though southwest monsoon has set in over Jharkhand yesterday but it’s weak, declared weathermen today.
According to weathermen, the complete onset of monsoon over Jharkhand will take another two to three days
Thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) are likely to be experienced by isolated places over the state today.
An alert of heavy rainfall was also issued in isolated places over the north-eastern parts of the state on June 24 (Monday) and June 25 (Tuesday).
Monsoon Update
Southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Maharashtra, remaining parts of Vidarbha, some parts of Madhya Pradesh, some more parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha, some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, remaining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and some parts of Jharkhand.

The Northern Limit of Monsoon was passing through Navsari, Jalgaon, Mandla, Pendra Road, Jharsuguda, Balasore, Haldia, Pakur, Sahibganj and Raxaul.
Synoptic Features
An east-west trough was running from northeast Rajasthan to Manipur across northwest Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Bangladesh, Meghalaya and Assam at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
The cyclonic circulation over east Bihar was lying over Bihar and adjoining eastern Uttar Pradesh at 1.5 km above the mean sea level.
