Jamshedpur, May 3: Severe heat wave conditions would prevail at isolated places of Seraikela-Kharsawan, East Singhbhum, Pakur and Godda districts of the state today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
While heat wave conditions would prevail at a few places in Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamtara, Deoghar and Dumka today.
According to revised forecast heat wave has been extended in the state till May 6.
Tomorrow heat wave conditions will prevail at isolated places of Seraikela-Kharsawan, West Singhbhum and East Singhbhum districts.

Heat wave conditions would also prevail in some places on May 5 and May 6.
The Met centre also issued an alert for thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 40-50 kmph) at isolated places over north-eastern parts of the state on May 6, Monday.
No significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand.
North-westerly to northerly surface wind at lower levels prevails over the state.
The extreme temperatures resulted in a high discomfort index across Jharkhand.
