Jamshedpur, April 13: Several isolated areas in southern and central parts of Jharkhand are expected to experience thundershowers and lightning today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

Weathermen said thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) are also likely at isolated places over southern and central parts of the state this evening.

According to weathermen, there will be a gradual rise in maximum temperature by (4-5)°C   during the next four days, at least.

Meanwhile, statistics revealed that the maximum temperature has dropped below 30 degrees Celsius in Ranchi and its adjoining areas due to the cloud cover, rain and pleasant weather for the last two days.

In Jamshedpur too the maximum temperature has dropped below 35 degrees Celsius.

Several places including Godda, Deoghar and Giridih recorded maximum temperatures between 31 degrees and 34 degree Celsius during the last 24 hours.

A cyclonic circulation lies over north Odisha at 1.5 km above the  mean sea level.

A trough was running from the above cyclonic circulation to south interior Karnataka across central Maharashtra and north interior Karnataka extending up to 1.5 km above the mean sea level.
