Jamshedpur, Feb 26: Several parts of Jharkhand especially western, central and southern are expected to witness thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (maximum wind speed: 30-40 kmph) tomorrow (Tuesday), said a bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre this morning.

The Met Centre also issued an appeal asking people to stay indoors during the thunderstorm activity. The weather office also asked people not to take shelter under trees during the thunderstorm activity.

Satellite pictures suggested a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above the mean sea level.
