Ranchi, August 30: Ahead of the Karma festival, women in Jharkhand are set to receive a major gift from the state government.

Under the Maiyya Samman Yojana, the 13th installment of ₹2,500 will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of beneficiary women.

The Social Security Department has issued instructions to all districts regarding the disbursement.

Amount to be credited within 2–3 days

According to departmental sources, the transfer process will begin on August 31. Preparations are already underway to ensure the timely distribution of funds, and it is expected that the money will reach women’s accounts within the next 2–3 days.

Earlier installment released before Raksha Bandhan

Notably, in July, an installment was disbursed before Raksha Bandhan so that women could celebrate the festival without difficulty.

Now, just before the Karma festival, Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s government is extending another benefit to women across the state.
