Ranchi, Jan 4: A three-day training programme on scientific beekeeping methods was inaugurated on Friday at the Ambedkar Auditorium of Vikas Bharti, located in the Bishunpur block of Gumla district. The programme was sponsored by the Sidho Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Cooperative Union Limited, Ranchi.

The event was inaugurated by Padma Shri awardee Dr Ashok Bhagat, Senior Advisor of the Sidho Kanho Agriculture and Forest Produce State Cooperative Union Limited Kumar Saurabh, and Development Officer Bindeshwari Sharma.

Dr. Bhagat also mentioned that the institute is working to connect local farmers to markets, helping them earn higher incomes. “This initiative will continue in the future, benefiting not just the Gumla district but farmers across the state on a larger scale,” he added.
