Ranchi, April 19: Ravi Shankar Shukla, Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan district, will receive the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration, 2024.
This award is being given for the district’s overall performance under the Aspirational Block Program.

The award will be presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Civil Services Day, which will be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on April 21, 2025.

The Aspirational Block Program is an initiative of NITI Aayog, launched on January 7, 2023. It aims to improve the quality of life in 500 underdeveloped blocks across the country by accelerating socio-economic development. The program focuses on better governance, service delivery, and monitoring of key indicators in five main areas: Health and Nutrition, Education, Agriculture and Allied Services, Basic Infrastructure, and Social Development.
