Ranchi, March 8: The Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET) is going to be conducted in May-June. Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has issued a notification regarding this on Thursday.
The Secretary of JPSC has said that the information about the application will soon be available on the website of the Commission.
Information about the application process will soon be available on the commission’s website, and candidates will need to adhere to the new rules to apply.
Through this examination, assistant professors will be appointed in various universities and colleges of Jharkhand and enrollment in PhD will be done.
According to the information provided, it is being conducted after 16 years, the first time it happened was in 2007-08.
The state government has created new regulations for this year’s event. From now on, this exam will be held every year. Under the new rules, the pattern of the exam has also changed.

Computer-based exam with 2 papers
Additionally, the department has made this exam computer-based. This exam will consist of objective questions and will be divided into two parts.
The first paper will be related to teaching, research aptitude, and reasoning ability, while the second paper will be related to the relevant subject.
Each paper will have 100 questions of two marks each, and the exam will last for three hours continuously. There will be no negative marking in it.
Eligibility
Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks to be eligible to appear in the exam.
The exam will cover a total of 43 subjects, and OBC, SC, ST, and PwD candidates will receive a 5% relaxation. There will also be a 5% relaxation for PhD-qualified candidates.
There is no maximum age limit for this exam.
