‘A Dedicated Warrior of Jharkhand’

Speaking on the occasion, Babulal Marandi said the late Justice LPN Shahdeo was a true son of the soil and a dedicated warrior who worked tirelessly for the upliftment of Jharkhand and its people.

“He gave a new direction to the fight for a separate Jharkhand state and transformed it into a mass movement of tribal and indigenous communities,” Marandi said.

Joined Movement After Retirement

Marandi recalled that after retiring as a judge, Justice Shahdeo devoted himself fully to the Jharkhand movement. “He even courted arrest for the cause,” he said, adding that such commitment made Shahdeo a towering figure in the state’s history.

He urged the youth of Jharkhand to draw inspiration from leaders like Justice LPN Shahdeo, who sacrificed personal comfort for the larger cause of the people.

Leaders Recall His Vision

Working President and MP Aditya Sahu also paid tribute, saying that the dream of a developed and self-reliant Jharkhand was envisioned by the late Justice Shahdeo.

Other leaders present remembered him as a guiding force whose contribution played a crucial role in shaping the Jharkhand movement.
