Allapuzha, Nov 30: Bipin C Babu, a prominent Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) leader from Kerala’s Allapuzha, officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday.
Bipin, who is currently a member of the Alappuzha District Panchayat and a former Vice-President of the district panchayat, participated in the BJP’s organizational meeting along with party leader K Surendran.

Bipin C Babu accused the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) of losing its secular nature and being dominated by communal forces.
He also pointed out that faction leaders like G. Sudhakaran have taken control of the CPM, leaving them in a dire situation within the party, and predicted that more members would exit in the days ahead.
