Jamshedpur, Nov 30: In a tragic incident, a Hata-based businessman Arun Mahato and his wife Urmila Mahato died in a road accident near the petrol pump at Hesal on the border of Potka and Rajnagar police station, last night.
The accident took place at around 9.30 pm.
Mahato along with his wife Urmila were returning to Hata after attending a wedding ceremony at Ichagarh village in Rajnagar.
While returning on their motorcycle, they were hit by an unknown speeding vehicle near the Chaibasa main road.

Both of them were seriously injured.
The injured were rushed to Jamshedpur and admitted at the Tata Main Hospital where the attending doctors declared them as brought dead.
Arun Mahato was the owner of a welding shop at Hata. He was also associated with various social work in Hata and its adjoining areas.
A pal of gloom descended at Hata, about 30 Km away from Jamshedpur over the tragic death of the couple in the road mishap.
