Kolkata, Dec 28: In connection with its investigation into the alleged teachers’ recruiting scam, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out simultaneous raids at nine different locations in Kolkata on Thursday, a senior official stated.

According to him, nine squads of ED officers raided various people’s homes and workplaces in the busy Burrabazar neighbourhood, Kakurgachi, and EM Bypass of the city.

“This is related to our investigation of the primary school jobs scam. These people were involved in routing the money. We are looking for documents and other bank documents,” the officer stated.

After receiving a tip from an individual who had been arrested in connection with the ED’s investigation into the cow smuggling scam, the search operations began early on Thursday morning.
