Lav Bhatia, owner of Kaveri restaurant, dies under suspicious circumstances

Ranchi, May 21: Lav Bhatia, son of the capital city’s well-known hotelier Ashish Bhatia, has died under suspicious circumstances. According to preliminary information, poisoning is suspected to be the cause of death, and police are investigating the case. The incident reportedly took place on Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, after his condition worsened, Love Bhatia was admitted in critical condition to Orchid Hospital, which falls under the Lalpur police station area. Doctors later declared him dead during treatment. After receiving information about the incident, police reached the hospital, took custody of the body, and sent it to RIMS for a post-mortem examination.

The incident has caused grief in the city’s business and social circles. At the same time, several speculations are being made regarding the actual cause of death. However, police are conducting a detailed investigation into the matter.

Love Bhatia was the son of Ashish Bhatia, one of the city’s prominent hoteliers. The family owns Punjab Sweets on Main Road, Hotel Capital Hill, and Kaveri Restaurant located in the Church Complex. The Kaveri Restaurant chain also has branches on Circular Road, Harmu, and Kanke Road. Love Bhatia was managing the operations of the Kaveri Restaurant branch on Circular Road.
