Jamshedpur, Feb 24:
Several parts of Jharkhand recorded light to moderate rainfall in the past 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Meteorological Centre, Ranchi said on Monday.

Rainfall Recorded

  • Kanke (Ranchi): 19.2 mm
  • Ranchi MC: 9.6 mm
  • Bokaro: 6.2 mm
  • Daltonganj: 3.6 mm
  • Jamshedpur: 1.4 mm

According to IMD, a trough extending from Gangetic West Bengal to north coastal Andhra Pradesh across Odisha, at about 0.9 km above mean sea level, is influencing weather conditions over Jharkhand.

Temperature Update

  • Highest maximum temperature: 34.8°C at Chaibasa
  • Lowest minimum temperature: 12.0°C at Gumla

Weather Forecast

February 24:
Partly cloudy sky with chances of light rain or thunderstorms at isolated places over the south-eastern and adjoining central parts of the state.

February 25:
Morning mist likely, followed by a partly cloudy sky. Most areas expected to remain dry.

February 26:
Morning mist may occur, with mainly clear skies later. Dry weather is likely to continue.

Weather officials have advised residents, especially in south-eastern districts, to stay alert for brief spells of rain or thunderstorms today. However, the overall trend suggests stable and largely dry conditions in the coming days.
