Ranchi, September 10: The Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication (FJMC) at Usha Martin University, in collaboration with Canon, organised a photography workshop that turned into a fun and enriching learning experience for students and faculty alike.

Hands-On with the Camera

The workshop was led by well-known photographer and documentary filmmaker Sanjay Bose, who took participants through engaging activities like a photowalk, portrait photography, and landscape shoots. Students also explored different camera lenses and got a taste of the latest imaging technologies, balancing theory with real practice.

The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Madhulika Kaushik, in the presence of Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Milind, Registrar Dr. Shiv Pratap Verma, and Head of FJMC Dr. Shahnaaz Zabi.

Learning from the Experts

In his sessions, Bose explained the evolution of cameras, rules of composition, and real-world uses of photography in media and documentaries. Canon experts also shared tips on using advanced camera systems and showed how professional tools can bring out creative ideas.

The workshop saw active participation from students and faculty, who left inspired and more confident in their photography skills.
