Jamshedpur, Dec 13: Tata Steel Sports Department announced about the first-ever Winter Sports Camp 2023, taking place from December 24 to 31 at the sprawling JRD Tata Sports Complex here.

The camp aims to create awareness about fitness, wellness and the benefits of pursuing a healthy lifestyle amongst the young generation (6 to 18 years) and encourage them to take up sports activities.

The opening ceremony will be held on December 24, and the camp will conclude with a prize distribution on December 31.

Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel said, “The maiden Winter Sports Camp being organised by Tata Steel Sports Department this year will add more colour, vibrancy, sportsmanship and camaraderie amongst the citizens of Jamshedpur in the winter season. This again is a testament to our unwavering commitment and support to foster a culture of fitness, well-being and healthy living among residents of our operating locations. Recently, we have also organised sporting activities for senior citizens. Hope this camp will be a pleasing holistic experience for the participants, parents and family members as well.”

The camp will run from 8.30 am to 10.30 am, with swimming sessions scheduled from 10 am to 1pm.

A wide range of sports will be available for participants to choose from, including swimming, horse riding, badminton, cricket, roller skating, lawn tennis, basketball, chess, table tennis, football, athletics, volleyball, yoga and Zumba.
