Major IPS reshuffle in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Dec. 31: The Jharkhand government has ordered a major reshuffle in the Indian Police Service (IPS), involving promotions, transfers, and new postings of officers from the 2001 to 2024 batches. The notification was issued by the Department of Home, Prison and Disaster Management on Wednesday.

Senior-Level Promotions and Key Appointments

Manoj Kaushik (2001 batch) has been promoted and posted as Additional Director General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Jharkhand, Ranchi. He will also hold additional charge of police training until further orders.

Ajay Singh (2008 batch) has been promoted and posted as Inspector General of Police, CID, Jharkhand, Ranchi.

Naushad Alam Ansari (2010 batch) has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Special Branch, Jharkhand.

DIG-Level Postings Across Departments

Kaushal Kishore (2012 batch) has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Home Guards, Jharkhand.

Anjani Kumar Jha (2012 batch) has been posted as DIG at the Jharkhand Police Academy, Hazaribagh.

Mohd. Arshi (2012 batch) has been posted as DIG, Home Guards and Fire Services, Jharkhand, Ranchi.

Anand Prakash (2012 batch) will be posted as DIG, Bokaro, after completion of Phase-III training under the Mid-Career Training Programme (MCTP).

Shrikant Suresh Rao Khatre (2015 batch) has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Simdega.

Kailash Karmali (2017 batch) has been posted as Commandant, Home Guards, Ranchi.

Shivam Prakash (2022 batch) has been posted as Deputy Secretary (Police) at Raj Bhavan, Jharkhand.

Postings After Training Completion

Nikhil Rai (2023 batch) and Srishti (2023 batch), after completion of training, have been posted as Assistant Superintendents of Police in the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jharkhand, Ranchi.

New IPS Officers Posted Across Jharkhand

Several newly appointed IPS officers of the 2024 batch have also been transferred and posted to different districts and police units across Jharkhand, as per the notification.

Officers who have not been assigned a specific place of posting have been directed to report to the Jharkhand Police Headquarters in Ranchi.

Effective Date

The transfers and promotions will take effect from January 1, 2026, or from the date the officers assume charge, as applicable.
