Manisha Tirki, Saara Sharma in final of Jharkhand Women’s Badminton Championship

Dhanbad, March 10: Top seed Manisha Rani Tirki from Ranchi and Saara Sharma from Jamshedpur will face off in the final (women’s category) of the Asmita Sports Jharkhand Women’s Badminton Championship, held at Mohan Ahuja Stadium in Jamshedpur.

In Sunday evening’s semifinals, Manisha Tirki defeated Anamika Ghosh from Dhanbad with a commanding score of 21-02, 21-02, while Saara Sharma triumphed over Ahana Tigga from Gumla with a dominant 21-01, 21-04 victory, securing their spots in the final.

Saara Sharma has also advanced into the final of the Under-19 category.

Ananya Singh Advances to Final in U-19 and U-17 Events

Ananya Singh of Ranchi has advanced to the finals in the Under-19 and Under-17 events at the championship organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in collaboration with the Jharkhand Badminton Association.

Under-19 Semifinals

In the Under-19 semifinal, Saara Sharma defeated Vaibhavi Srivastava of Jamshedpur 21-06, 21-03. In the second match, Ananya Singh of Ranchi triumphed over Anu Shristhi from Latehar with a score of 21-07, 21-10. Saara and Ananya will now face each other in the final scheduled for later today.

Under-17 Semifinals

In the Under-17 semifinals, Anuska Kachhap of Jamshedpur advanced to the final after defeating Vaibhavi Srivastava 21-19, 21-15. In the second semifinal, Ananya Singh of Ranchi overcame Anu Shristhi from Latehar 21-13, 21-10, securing her place in the final.
