Mumbai Crime Branch initiates extradition process for Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother

Mumbai, Nov 2: The extradition process for gangster Anmol Bishnoi, wanted in multiple cases, including firing at actor Salman Khan’s residence, has been initiated. This process has been started by the Mumbai Crime Branch.

Notably, Anmol Bishnoi is the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in Sabarmati Jail. Anmol Bishnoi is currently hiding in the United States and had fled India using a fake passport.

Anmol Bishnoi’s name included in NIA’s most-wanted list

According to reports, Anmol Bishnoi’s name was added to the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) most-wanted list last week. Additionally, a reward of ₹10 lakh was announced for information about him.

Sources in the Mumbai police indicate that American authorities have confirmed Anmol Bishnoi’s presence in the United States to Indian officials.

Anmol Bishnoi reportedly has over 17 cases registered against him. Alongside Lawrence Bishnoi and gangster Goldy Brar, he is wanted in the Salman Khan firing case.

Anmol Bishnoi is also wanted in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. According to police officials, Anmol supplied the weapons used to kill Moosewala.

Links to Baba Siddiqui murder case

It has been reported that NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was killed with an imported pistol on October 13, allegedly supplied by Anmol Bishnoi. Sources suggest that Anmol Bishnoi was in contact with one of the wanted accused in the Baba Siddiqui murder case, raising suspicion that he may have been involved in the conspiracy.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has informed the Mumbai Sessions Court of these developments and will soon send the extradition file to the central government. Anmol Bishnoi was previously spotted in Kenya last year and in Canada this year. He has already served a sentence in Jodhpur Jail and was released on bail on October 7, 2021.
