Daltonganj, March 2: A two-day conference of the National Medicos Organisation concluded on Sunday at Medinirai Medical College and Hospital (MMCH), Daltonganj.

The conference was inaugurated by the Principal of the medical college, Dr J. Srinivas Rao, along with the founder of the organisation, Dr D. Thakur.

As the Holi festival is approaching, the attendance of medicos was comparatively low. However, the conference was successful and featured active interaction and discussions among participants.

Quiz Competition and Academic Presentations

A quiz programme was organised during the conference. Aman Kumar secured first position, Shashank stood second, and Ramashankar secured third place.

Several presentations were delivered on important medical topics, including ventilator-associated pneumonia, sudden cardiac arrest, fake medicines, drug addiction, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

Most of the presentations were delivered by female participants. Ruchika, Poorva, Deepshikha, and Shweta, along with Aman Kumar and Ramashankar, impressed the gathering with their medical knowledge and presentation skills.

The final session on the concluding day was addressed by noted anaesthetist Dr Shanti Prakash.

Executive Committee Formed, 17-Point Resolution Adopted

An executive committee of the National Medicos Organisation was formed for the year 2026–27, with Dr R. K. Gupta elected as President.

The conference also adopted a 17-point resolution aimed at improving and strengthening medical facilities.

Statements from College Authorities

Principal Dr J. Srinivas Rao told The Jharkhand Story Network, “The medicos organise such conferences. We extend facilities. It is entirely the endeavour of the medicos.”

Senior faculty member Dr Devalraju Ravi Shankar stated that both medicos and faculty members must register before participating in the conference. He added that registration is mandatory for inclusion in the conference proceedings.
