Naxalite killed in security operation in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Sept 5: A Naxalite was gunned down on Friday in a forested stretch along the Narayanpur–Dantewada border of Chhattisgarh during an anti-insurgency operation, police confirmed.

The clash erupted when a joint patrol of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) from Narayanpur and Dantewada, supported by the Special Task Force (STF), confronted the rebels in the dense jungle.

Security personnel later recovered the body of one Naxalite from the encounter site.
