NEET-PG 2024 exam date to be announced by next week: NBE President

New Delhi, June 25: President of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), Abhijat Sheth, said on Tuesday that the SOPs and protocols will be reviewed as soon as possible and the next date for the examination will be announced by next week.

This announcement comes days after the Union Health Ministry postponed the National Eligibility and Entrance Test postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024 examination scheduled for June 23.

Sheth made this statement following a review meeting between officials of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences and the Union Health Ministry to evaluate the situation and receive government input prior to the examination’s postponement.

Due to growing concern over purported exam anomalies in the NEET-UG exam, which was conducted on May 5, the government decided to postpone the NEET-PG 2024 exams.

Abhijat Sheth defended the integrity of the NEET PG exam, stressing its successful history. He acknowledged recent student concerns and announced the government’s decision to review SOPs to ensure the examination’s fairness and security, promising a revised schedule within a week.
