Kathmandu, Sept 10: Nepal’s Generation Z (Gen Z) protesters have forced Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli’s government to accept defeat, effectively ousting him from power.
The protesters have now put forward a series of political and social demands, including rewriting or amending the constitution, implementing major governance reforms, and investigating wealth accumulated by politicians over the past three decades.
During the movement, it was announced that all those who lost their lives in the protests should be officially recognized as martyrs, and their families should receive state honors and compensation. The organizers also pledged to launch special programs to tackle unemployment, curb migration, and eliminate social injustices.

Peace is important, but it can only be achieved on the foundation of a new political order.” The group expressed hope that the President and the Nepal Army would positively implement their proposals.
