Hazaribag, Nov 1: The Pankri-Barwadih site on the Hazaribag-Barkagaon road will get a facelift.

NTPC has announced to convert this site into a megalith park from Rs.3 crore fund.

Confirming this today and handing a cheque for the first installment of Rs.50 lakh to Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay, NTPC officials said the site is famous for the equinox. This is 3000 years old and needs conservation of this place. Officials added that Rs. 3 crore will be used to convert the site into a megalithic park developing it on the lines of a tourist spot.

This place was discovered by researcher Subhashis Das more than two decades ago. He popularised this place, which is why researchers from India and other countries are visiting this site now.
