Jamshedpur, May 25: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, accompanied by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, arrived in Jamshedpur on a one-day visit and was warmly welcomed by the local Sikh community, marking a day of cultural exchange and dialogue.

The Speaker was greeted with traditional hospitality as Sikh youth presented shawls and mementoes reflecting Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage. Addressing the gathering with a respectful “Sat Shri Akal,” Om Birla struck an instant chord with the community members.

During the interaction, Birla inquired about the number of Gurudwaras and the size of the Sikh population in Jamshedpur, showing keen interest in the community’s presence and contributions to the city. He engaged in an open dialogue with the youth, discussing several pertinent issues and expressing his appreciation for the community’s role in national development.
In a gesture of goodwill, the Lok Sabha Speaker invited the Sikh youth to visit his official residence in Delhi for a more detailed conversation in the future.

Prominent Sikh personalities present at the event included Sikh BJP leader Satbir Singh Somu, BJP Minority Morcha State Media In-charge Ravinder Singh Rinku, Sikh BJP leader Chanchal Bhatia, and Kulwant Singh, among others.
