SP and DC review travel and security arrangements

SP Reeshma Ramesan told this correspondent, “The governor’s travel plan is by chopper for October 6. However weather is playing truant. There is a forecast for rain on October 6, too.”

“In case the rains lash at, we are working on a safe and proper travel plan by road,” added the SP.

DC Sameera S and SP Reeshma Ramesan on Saturday took a detour of the venue for the convocation. Vice Chancellor Dr Prof Dinesh Kumar Singh accompanied the two top officials of the district.

Venue upgrades, parking and tree relocation measures implemented

A paver block road is coming up at the Maharishi Vishwamitra Pustakalaya Bhavan, whose building is to be inaugurated by the Chancellor.

There will be no drone flying during the visit of the VVIPs. The joint visit saw some modifications to parking in order to minimise the inconvenience to the VIPs.

Two trees are to be relocated. One is right at the entrance of the Maharishi Vishwamitra Pustakalaya Bhavan and the other is of eucalyptus at the main road. A team of forest personnel reached the trees and took down their girth.
