Daltonganj, April 22: A team of the Private School Association, in collaboration with Gyandeep Public School, on Wednesday opened a panshala to provide safe drinking water to the public at Neora under Chainpur police station limits.
Relief for commuters in high-traffic area
Neora is a busy route connecting Garhwa and Chhattisgarh, witnessing heavy movement of commuters. The initiative aims to offer relief to pedestrians and travellers, especially amid the ongoing heatwave.
The panshala was inaugurated in the presence of Private School Association founder Avinash Kumar Verma, president Ajay Srivastava, and other members. Teachers and staff of Gyandeep Public School extended support and cooperation in setting up the facility.

Water, jaggery distributed on opening day
On the first day, pedestrians were offered jaggery along with glasses of clean drinking water. The organisers said the initiative is meant to help people cope with the intense summer heat.
Daltonganj has been experiencing severe heat in recent days, with temperatures hovering above 43°C.
