Captain Harmanpreet Singh’s two goals, combined with PR Sreejesh’s seamless saves, earned India a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics with a 2-1 victory over Spain at the Yves du Manoir Stadium on Thursday.
The IOA had previously appointed Manu Bhaker as the female flagbearer following her achievement as the first Indian athlete since Independence to win multiple medals in a single Olympic Games.
