New Delhi, June 4: The Monsoon session of Parliament is set to begin on July 21 and continue till August 12, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced on Wednesday.

The Parliament will reconvene after a break of more than three months, with both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha scheduled to meet at 11 a.m. on July 21.

This will mark the first sitting of both Houses since India’s Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the deadly terror strike in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, which left 26 people dead.

The session gains added significance amid growing calls from Opposition parties for a special sitting to address post-attack developments and broader national concerns.

These demands intensified following the return of all-party delegations, who seek to raise critical issues linked to national security and the aftermath of the Pahalgam incident.
