PM Modi, at Jammu rally, rebukes Congress for questioning 2016 surgical strikes

Jammu, Sept 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party is on the verge of forming its first government with an absolute majority in Jammu and Kashmir.

During a rally in Jammu ahead of the last phase of elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister conveyed his assurance that the BJP government would secure votes, be it Jammu, Kathua or Samba.

PM Modi referred to the heavy voting in the last two phases, stating that the mood of the people in Jammu and Kashmir is in favour of the BJP. PM Modi assured that as soon as the BJP government is formed, every pain of the people in Jammu will be alleviated.

In reference to Navratri and Vijayadashami, he mentioned that the election results will be announced on October 8, coinciding with the Navratri celebrations. He expressed that this Vijayadashami will be auspicious for Jammu.

PM recalls 2016 surgical strike

Referring to the 2016 surgical strike conducted by the armed forces against terrorist camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir on the night of 28th September, he mentioned, “Yeh naya Bharat hai, yeh ghar mein ghuskar maarta hai”.

He emphasized that India has shown the world that it is a new India that takes action inside enemy territory. He warned that the masterminds of terrorism know that if they dare to act, he will find them even in the depths of hell.

PM Modi accused the Congress of demanding evidence for the surgical strike, asserting that the party still speaks the language of Pakistan on this issue.

“You should never forget the behaviour of Congress, it is the party which had asked for proof of surgical strike from our army. Congress is the party which even today speaks the language of Pakistan regarding the surgical strike,” PM Modi stated.

People of J&K are fed up by the politics of three families

PM Modi slammed Congress, along with the National Conference (NC) and PDP, stating that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are fed up with the politics of these three families.

He noted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir no longer desire terrorism, separatism, or bloodshed; instead, they seek peace for a better future for their children. This is why they are supporting the BJP government.

The Prime Minister mentioned that in recent days, he had the opportunity to visit various parts of Jammu and Kashmir, and wherever he went, there was significant enthusiasm for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

BJP govt implemented OROP after coming to power in 2014

PM Modi stated regarding One Rank One Pension (OROP) that Congress has neglected the interests of military families. He highlighted that the BJP government implemented OROP after coming to power in 2014 and has always prioritized the welfare of soldiers’ families.

The Prime Minister accused Congress, NC, and PDP of acting as the biggest enemies of the Constitution, asserting that many families who have lived here for generations have been denied the right to vote. He questioned who is responsible for this injustice.
