The theme for this year, “Yoga for Self and Society,” underscores the crucial role of yoga in enhancing individual well-being and fostering social harmony.

The Kashmir Valley experienced moderate to heavy rainfall, including around Dal Lake. Due to the rain in Srinagar, PM Modi performed various yoga asanas indoors with a smaller number of guests.

The scheduled 30-minute yoga session, set to start at 7 am, was postponed due to rainfall. Among the attendees were Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha and Ayush Minister Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav, among others.
