Dahod, May 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for multiple development projects in Gujarat’s Dahod worth over Rs 24,000 crore, including significant rail infrastructure initiatives and several projects of the Gujarat Government.

He also inaugurated a new Indian Railways Locomotive Manufacturing plant, which will produce 9,000 HP electric locomotives for both domestic use and export. These locomotives are expected to boost the freight carrying capacity of Indian Railways. Modi also flagged off the first electric locomotive produced at the plant.

During his two-day visit to Gujarat, the Prime Minister was honored with a Birsa Munda idol by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, along with several handcrafted gifts made by local women.

Reflecting on his decade-long tenure since taking oath on May 26, 2014, Modi highlighted India’s remarkable progress across sectors under his leadership. “From the day I was sworn in as Prime Minister, first blessed by the people of Gujarat and then by crores across the country, I have dedicated myself tirelessly to serving the nation,” he said at a public rally in Dahod.

The Prime Minister emphasized that India has taken bold and unprecedented decisions, breaking free from longstanding obstacles. He described the country’s transformation from a state of despair to one filled with confidence, as all 140 crore Indians work collectively towards making India a developed nation.
