Vigil against obscenity and intoxication

Peace committee meetings are being held in all police station areas, where clear instructions are being communicated to puja committees, public representatives, social organisations, and local residents.

Police have also directed that obscene or objectionable songs must not be played during the puja. Any violation of these instructions will result in strict legal action against the concerned committee.

Under a special drive, police will maintain strict vigilance against alcohol consumption and use of intoxicants in and around puja pandals. Anyone found intoxicated will face strict action. Additional police forces will be deployed, and regular patrolling will be carried out to keep anti-social elements in check.
