Jamshedpur, July 31: A late-evening police raid at a hotel in Golmuri on Thursday led to the detention of three men from Ranchi who had reportedly been staying there for nearly three months, triggering an investigation into their activities.
Acting on specific inputs, Golmuri police raided Skylon Hotel in the Kalimati area and searched Rooms 201 and 202, where the three occupants were staying.
The detained individuals have been identified as Linda, Sonu and Bittu, all residents of the Ratu police station area in Ranchi. They were subsequently taken to Golmuri police station for questioning.
Police sources said the unusually long duration of the trio’s stay at the hotel, coupled with certain aspects of their movements, had raised suspicion, prompting the operation.
During the raid, officers conducted a thorough search of the rooms and began verifying documents and other materials recovered from the premises.
